Community Service

Candace Guertz '77 has just moved to the area after spending 5 years as a rector in Welsh Family Hall.  She is very interested in service projects and has volunteered to help/plan some for our club.  I will be talking to her to get more details soon.  More details to follow.  If anyone is interested in helping her or has any ideas for projects, please contact Christy Dunn at cbdunn@tarrantcounty.com

ACE Marathon

Several Notre Dame graduate students participated in this year’s Cowtown Marathon. The ND Club of Fort Worth provided dinner the evening prior to the race at St. George Catholic School. The principal of All Saints Catholic School, Xavier Rodriguez, was in attendance. All Saints was chosen this year to be one of two schools for which this ACE Marathon raised money. The ND Club of Fort Worth would like to thank Angela Tacco ’81, Becky Camillus ’02, Aaron & Veronica Tucker ’98, John Fernandez ’98, and Adam Rodriguez ’98 for donating money for the dinner!

2007 "Month of Service" In Honor of

Fr. Ted Hesburgh's 90th Birthday

The Notre Dame Club of Fort Worth was proud to take part in the NDAA 2007 "Month of Service" to honor Fr. Ted Hesburgh. NDAA set a goal of 90 ND Alumni Clubs participating in a community service activity in the month of May to honor Fr. Hesburgh whose 90th birthday is on May 25, 2007.
